From Assistant Coach Maura Knestout:
“We are really looking forward to Conferences this weekend. Every race this season, the team has been practicing and preparing for this day. Alex Ross has been leading the way this season and looks to have a big day at conferences, She recently placed 20th at the Panorama Farms XC23 Invite running a 5k time of 17:18 on the challenging course. Her best 6k time this season was at the Paul Short invite was 20:33 and she was followed close by teammate Sara Stephenson in 20:44. Sara will also be looking to Have a big day Saturday as well.
On the men’s side Matt Kleiman and Gavin Mcelhennon have been a dynamic duo, both clocking low 24 minutes this season for 8k. Gavin ran 24:09 at the Paul Short Invite closely followed by Matt in 24:13. Another guy to look out for is Freshman Emmanuel Leblond, who has been progressing really well his debut season.
Overall, the team is ready to have a big day and we could see some great performances from both returners and underclassmen.”
