From Head Coach Doug Renner:
“The biggest news coming from the hill this fall is that we will be hosting Centennial Conference championships on Saturday October 28th on the campus golf course. It should be interesting to see how the runners race on a true cross country layout compared to the “track on grass†courses we often see.
Jack Sears (Linganore) leads the men along with Nick Raumann (Oakdale). Nick had his best summer of training and stayed sharp by winning the Westminster Roadrunners Twilight Summer Series that included a track 2 mile, a trail XC race @ Hashawha and 4 road races from distances of 5K to 8K.
Anders Madsen (Westminster HS) returns as he, Tyler Richardson (Old Mill) and Jack Reiser (WI) lead the chase pack.
Top freshman Abdi Mudireddy (Oakdale) looks to contribute but is slowly returning from a bout of long Covid over the summer.
The women return graduate student Bailey Mullen, who won the women’s Twilight Series this summer and went undefeated in the six races. Bailey was 4th in the conference track 5K last spring, but also set the school record in the 3K steeplechase and ran and won a 39 minute track 10K, 20 minutes after winning a track 5K at the ECAC championship meet @ Goucher.
#2 looks like a battle between freshman Maya Colavito (R Montgomery) and sophomore Piper Nagaraj (Liberty). Ashley Siebenhaar (Severna Park), Anna Kale (VA) and  Arianna Lowengrub (Wilson, DC) should compete for scoring.”
